Welcome to the sixth issue, in this issue I will focus on podcasting trends, and how you can leverage them.
I will be focusing on 14 podcasting trends, and some opportunities, solution
Learn how to position your podcast with these trends.
Problem: Podcasting is on the rise, however, there are many players.
π Why it matters for podcasters?
Maybe will create innovative features for podcasters, as each app is trying to differentiate themselves
Maybe the push to create exclusive podcast content with high profile hosts will de-emphasize independent podcasters. This can provide opportunities for independent podcasters networks, communities, apps, directories.

Trend #1: Quality Content:
For podcasts currently the growth is driven by quality content
To create quality content around your podcast:
β You will need to ask relevant questions
β Bring on quality and authoritative guests on your show.
And much more
To create such quality content there are more specialized podcast products, for example, there are audio platforms, transcription and editing services.

β This narrowing down will provide opportunities to attract more new listeners to podcasting.
β Also, will provide opportunities for newer communities for these listeners.
Trend #3: A trend of continued podcast listenership:

Get listed on Indian platforms like Gaana
Similarly try and get your podcast listed on European platforms
Trend #4: Listeners want to learn through podcast
Position your podcast as a medium where people can learn something new every episode, or at least learn something from your podcast(whether it be about comedy, marketing, etc)
Trend #5: Some trends related to Podcast Hosts and Investment in shows:
Podcast hosts are viewed as high trust influencers
Need to be genuine for maintaining listener engagement: Energetic and Fun
Listeners will continue to invest in shows that match values and beliefs(position your podcast with a few of the listeners value, and beliefs)

This presents opportunities for people to produce advertisements within their podcasts

Provides opportunities for Personalized Community experiences
Data will help to create Personalized listening experience
